In August of 2021 my husband and I attended a falconry demonstration by Collin Waybright while we were vacationing in Canaan Valley Resort. As one who loves history, I admire young people who are keeping ancient arts alive and well. Collin is one of West Virginia's youngest Master Class Falconers and a natural talent for educating others. His love and respect for the raptors and the sport of falconry is evident and his enthusiasm contagious.
Join me on this visit to Bowden, West Virginia, in Episode 8 to speak with Collin about what it takes to become a licensed falconer in West Virginia. I learned so much while enjoying a peace-filled remote location in Randolph County at the Laurel River Club Bed & Breakfast. Special thanks also to Collin's wife, Tiffany, who was a very thoughtful host.
